Plans and Getaways

Are you planning a rural getaway with your pet? Have you heard of the Alto Gallego region? Alto Gallego is a region located in the north of Aragon that occupies practically the entire upper course of the Gallego River. It is an ideal destination for a getaway, to disconnect and escape the daily routine, and to walk among mountains and forests with our canine companions.

Based on the recommendations from Pirineos- Comarca del Alto Gállego, we bring you through this article 10 routes where our dogs can have fun, run around, and sniff the trails in this beautiful territory. There are specific areas to take them and let them loose for long runs and to play with their favorite toys, but there are also many paths where you can enjoy walking with them.

But first, we want to highlight travel tips:

1- If we go on a hiking route with our dog, never forget to bring water and food. A tip is to get our furry friend used to drinking and eating from a bottle ¡We won't waste as much water and it won't take up as much space as a bowl! If you don't have a portable bottle for your excursions, we recommend this 3-in-1 one, which you can get at our Online Store.

2- Make sure your dog is protected against parasites and mosquitoes. We also must not forget to bring our furry friend's documentation and have the nearest 24-hour veterinarian located.

3- When choosing a route, we must consider our dog's physical endurance as well as age. If your dog is not used to walking many km, it's better to gradually increase the level.
4- If you are going to be away from home for more than one night, we recommend bringing a travel suitcase for your dog. This way, you can carry all their documents and accessories in an organized and safe manner: Food, Towel, brush, favorite toy, treats, their bed, etc...

If your dog still doesn't have their own travel suitcase and you would like to get one, you can do so at our online store. It's ideal for storing and transporting their things and also comes with included accessories: two moisture-proof food storage containers and two foldable water bowls.
