Inauguration of the Santa Pura dog beach in Lepe. LEPE TOWN HALL
The dog beach is not classified as a bathing beach for people, and users are responsible for their own safety, according to the town hall. The beach is equipped with trash cans, free bags for excrement, and signage indicating the rules for using this dog area.
Among these rules, it is worth noting that dogs weighing more than 20 kilos must wear an approved muzzle and that breeds of dogs classified as potentially dangerous must always be kept on a leash and wear a muzzle.
During the visit, the Councilor for Tourism, Elena Vélez, emphasized that "the Lepe City Council is pleased to inaugurate this new beach area for the enjoyment of pets and their owners, responding to the high demand for this type of facility in the area, which will expand the tourist offerings of Lepe's beaches."
Santa Pura beach, in the municipality of Lepe, runs from the end of La Antilla in the eastern area to the beginning of the Nueva Umbría naturist beach.
