Care and advice

In this section, viajes4patas.com shares the best travel blogs that help us promote dog-friendly tourism by sharing their own experiences and recommendations on destinations, accommodations, and any other useful information for traveling with your pet.

BLOG OF THE YUYIS

Well, yuyi is what we affectionately call ourselves. A long time ago, the yuyi worked at a company where there was an Argentine colleague who always called people “yuyu,” something Ezequiel brought home and we eventually adapted affectionately.

We decided to create a travel blog because we wanted to document our adventures while traveling and, at the same time, help other people.   https://blogdelosyuyis.com

DOG TRAVELERS

ALOHA FRIENDS, ROBERTO AND COCAÍ HERE. In July 2013, I set off for Brazil to travel through South America with my backpack. What I didn't know was that I would meet an unexpected friend who would change the course of my journey... and my life. I adopted this stray dog and we started traveling together, learning quite quickly that in this life, ANYTHING is possible. These nomadic years have taken us, among other things, to sleep in many strangers' homes, camp in the Amazon, the desert, gas stations, in forests full of bears, and to hitchhike with dozens of people. Including some Mexican drug traffickers!

We are Dog Travelers, two friends of different species who travel the world by hitchhiking and on a small budget.

MY DOG IS COOL

My name is Roberto Maio and together with my family Gala, Brea, and Sonia, we star in this story we decided to call 'My Dog is Cool, A Very Doggy Blog.' Each of us has a very specific job within the Blog and we take it very seriously. Gala is the engine of this whole machine; she is the one who drives us to seek new adventures every time we have a little free time.

UMA'S BLOG

Uma was born on November 25, 2014, along with her three sisters. From mixed-breed parents, Uma was the last to be born but, as the saying goes, the last shall be first, and she didn't take long to stand out from the others: two beige sisters, one black, and her little brown one.

Through our blog, Uma and I will tell you about our travels, learnings, her experiences, and everything that comes our way. Will you join us? We want this blog to help everyone have the best coexistence and experiences with their dog.

MINDFUL TRAVEL BY SARA

Hello! I'm Sara, an avid traveler, entrepreneur, and author of the travel blog Mindful Travel. I've been traveling since I was very young, and this blog is where I let loose my travel experiences and try to give advice so that people like you can travel to the destination of their dreams.

Four years ago, by fate, while crossing the ocean for work, I met the person with whom I would share my life forever, the one who puts up with and supports my travel craziness. Together with our little dog Kiba, we make the perfect traveling family!

CANINE TOURISM

Hello! We are Mercè, Miguel, and Futt, and together we form Canine Tourism. In October 2014, we became a dog family when we adopted Futt, a medium-sized mixed-breed dog aged two and a half years.

From the very first moment, we wanted to share our greatest passion with him: traveling. And, after a few years discovering the world together, in 2017 we created the website www.turismocanino.es, which started as a blog of tips, routes, and city guides for traveling with a dog. The main goal was to share our experience to encourage more people to travel with their dogs and for new destinations to bet on dog-friendly services.

ADVENTURES WITH MY DOG

We are Bea and Nico. We connect people who want to do tourism in Alicante and its province with all the 'dog-friendly' options available. We are a dog family from Alicante city, and through our experience over the years, we have seen the obstacles that exist to living a 'normal' life with our pets.

Adventures with my dog is a place to unify all our first-hand experiences, plus everything we know, and to show it to others so that they too have the option to enjoy life alongside their dog families.

TRAVELING TOGETHER

Who is behind Traveling Together? We like to say we are a couple of six, as we are a family made up of 2 kittens, Arwen and Duma (those who follow us on Instagram already know them), 2 dogs, Lili and Dobby, and two humans, Esteban and Bea.

We are a couple who met by chance back in 2012, and since then we enjoy sharing adventures together. Whether it's a trip thousands of kilometers away, a walk near home, or a movie on the sofa with our little ones.

CHICA EN RUTA

Carlos, Piki, and I, Nazaret, are the ones behind the Chica en ruta blog. We are three passionate adventurers who are up for any trip proposed to us. We love to hit the road in our van with a good pair of boots to explore trails all over Spain and some other countries.

Piki (our dog) joined our adventures just over a year ago when we rescued him from a shelter in southern Spain. We don't know anything about his history before he came to us, but what we do know is that he is now a happy dog who enjoys nature like no one else.

6 PATAS Y 4 RUEDAS

Baluc is already 12 years old, and he is the last dog that adopted me. We are aging together, but we still have a lot to live, discover, travel, in short, to ENJOY TOGETHER!! We adopted him at 3 months old, the result of an unwanted litter, and he was about to be taken to a shelter. He is a friend of his cat siblings and loves to travel. Where I go, he goes; where I enter, he enters. There is no alternative.

MIS ÁNGELES DE 4 PATAS

@misangelesdecuatropatas It started as an Instagram profile where I posted about abandoned puppies that I fostered in my home until finding them adoption. Countless abandoned and fostered puppies have passed through here in these almost 5 years since I've had the profile, although I've been fostering these broken souls for several more years before that. Of them, 3 (Suri, Tina, and Nemo) have stayed forever and go with me wherever I go.

TRAVELING OUR LIFE

We are Maeva, Manel, and our dog Junior, and on our blog, www.viajandonuestravida.com, we share the trips we take together in our camper van. We have been traveling as a family for over ten years, and this has taught us that we need to adapt to all members, especially now to the senior of the group.

FRIDA GUAU

Hello! I'm Frida, a 5-year-old mixed-breed dog with a special story of overcoming adversity. And this is my human mom, Alejandra. Five years ago, I was lucky enough to be found and saved from starvation and freezing to death in difficult circumstances. Today, I feel very fortunate to live with her and happy to have so many adventures and experiences together. Wherever she goes, I go. And that's how it should always be, if we were welcome and accepted everywhere in the world. We will tell you all about our trips, getaways, and experiences in Spain. Greetings, AmiDOGS. You can follow us on our Instagram account @fridaguau.

LUGGAGE FOR TWO

We are Paula and Fran, a couple who loves to travel and discover new places. In 2017, we decided to create our blog, Luggage For Two, to share our experiences around the world. Our family includes four other members: Greta and Jacinto, two cats who prefer to stay near the radiator, and Pongo and Frida, two Dalmatians who love to explore as much as we do. Traveling with them is an incredible experience, but it's not always easy to organize. That's why we try to share on our blog and social media all the plans and information we find useful, to help you keep adding moments with your best friend.

CHARMING

We are María and Xila, and we love hiking in Asturias. We do all the routes together, always leaving some advice to make the journey enjoyable for everyone. We love promoting tourism in our region and showing you dog-friendly places too. Oh, and we also like to raise awareness about adoptions, as Xila is a happily adopted dog. You can follow us on our Instagram account @todoconencanto.

AURA BODEGUERA

Aura is a very crazy bodeguera (wine cellar worker) and is 5 years old. We are from Malaga. Since she's been with us, we've always traveled around adapting to her. We have a camper van, and she loves traveling in it, although she's also been on several plane trips! We have an Instagram account where we try to share everything. It's @aura.bodeguera.

DOG THINGS

We are two mixed-breed dogs who love nature. We love discovering little-known spots, hiking in the mountains, and visiting beautiful beaches. More and more people are traveling with their pets, but it can still be very difficult to find accommodations that allow furry friends like us, so we've decided to compile a list of cool places where we're welcome. Our Instagram is @cosas.de.perras.

MY CARRY-ON LUGGAGE

Hello! I'm Inma and since 2015 I have been running https://miequipajedemano.com/, a blog where I answer questions about luggage for air travel.
As a true lover of travel and places around the world, I write posts to promote tourism and also help others choose a destination, pack a suitcase, plan a trip, know what can and cannot be taken in airplane luggage, learn the dimensions of carry-on luggage, know how to travel with a pet, travel independently, or how to choose the best travel suitcase or backpack.

WITHOUT POSTAL CODE

Without Postal Code is made up of Edu, Rocío, and their most loyal four-legged friend named Cuzco. For 3 years, they have been living and traveling in a camper van. They have visited places like Norway, Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Albania, Georgia, Mexico, all with their 6-year-old Golden Retriever.

All these adventures are narrated on their website Without Postal Code, as well as on Youtube and their social media. There you can find information about their three great passions: converting vans (including their four-wheeled home), showing all their travel guides, and demonstrating how it is possible to travel the world with their little dog.
