The Tarragona City Council of Les Cases d'Alcanar has informed us about its dog beach: La Platjola. ¡¡Wooofff!! Step by step, we are expanding our directory of dog-friendly beaches in Spain.

Well then! Next to Cala del Cementiri (Atmella de Mar), Bon Caponet Beach (Atmella de Mar) and La Platjola Beach (Alcanar) becomes the fourth pet-friendly beach on the Costa Dorada. Bravo!

The town council comments: "We know that beachgoers with pets usually have difficulty finding a beach where they can enjoy their animal, so we have adapted La Platjola for tourists with dogs."

La Platjola has also been awarded the distinction of unspoiled beach. The aim of this award is to highlight the natural values that some beaches on the Catalan coast still maintain, such as this one, which is part of the group of beaches and coves known as Las Timbes, which are of high environmental and ecological value.nbsp;Furthermore, if you would like to discover more dog-friendly beaches throughout Spain, don't miss our updated list of dog-friendly beaches 2026, with information organized by autonomous communities.
