Care and advice
My Dog is not My Child. "I'm tired of hearing people tell me that I treat my dog like my own child." I know he's not my child, but "he's my dog, and to me, he is."My dog will never grow up, he won't leave home in a huff, and he won't take care of me when I'm old. He will always need me to feed him, give him water, or simply take him for a walk.

He will never be a teenager, and I will never hear the typical phrases of that age, but neither will I hear "I love you," "thank you," or "I need you." He will not judge me, take offense at my ideas, or my good or bad moods. He didn't inherit anything from me, but he knows when I'm happy or sad and will always stay by my side. I will watch my dog grow up and grow old. That's why I will accompany him through that stage and be by his side until the end.
Simply put, this will be the path we will both walk. My dog is an animal, not a person, much less a child.
But what is a mother?
A mother is a wonderful person who sacrifices herself for her children. A mother protects, educates, and loves unconditionally. That is why my dog is not my child, but I am his mother. I am all he has, I am his horizon and the person he trusts and is completely devoted to. I am not his owner. To him, I am part of his family, of what a family can be for a dog. It saddens me that there are people who do not understand. I am his EVERYTHING. I can see in his eyes, which tell me everything. Thanks to me, he leads a healthy, full, and happy life. The connection with an animal is unique and unconditional, and not everyone can experience this wonderful feeling.
I wish that those who don't understand me and don't understand the importance of an animal to some people could one day have an animal, because only then will they learn and understand me.
