¡Hiking trails for dogs in Andorra!
Visiting Andorra with your pet is an ideal opportunity to go for walks in nature and discover wonderful landscapes with your dog. Andorra offers endless options. Today we'll tell you about three excursions that you'll love:
·Lake Montmalús
This route starts at the Grau Roig station, near the Els Llacs apartments. It is about 5 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 600 meters. You will reach an altitude of 2,700 meters and enjoy one of the most beautiful views in Andorra of the Pessons glacial cirque. And when you arrive... Bonus! Your dog can take a dip in the lake. Before setting off on the route, we recommend checking the weather forecast.
·The Iron Route
This route is easy to access and very entertaining. The path is lined with sculptures and monuments dedicated to metallurgy, an industry that was very important to Andorra until the end of the 19th century. It is located in the other valley in the parish of Ordino and runs almost entirely alongside a river. It is ideal for the whole family or for dogs that are not used to long walks.
·Llac d'Engolasters Route
A must-see when traveling with dogs in Andorra! You will find this idyllic spot just a 20-minute drive from Andorra La Vella. You will feel so comfortable that you will not want to leave!

One tip is to get your furry friend used to drinking and eating from a bottle. This way, you won't waste as much water, and it won't take up as much space as a bowl!
· ¡In winter, protect them from the cold!
It's very important to protect your dog's paws and pads with boots or sports shoes if they are going to walk on snow. Not only do they protect against the cold in winter, but they also protect their paws on long walks on tarred or rocky trails.
