Cumbres Borrascosas is a magnificent country house, formerly a mining and railway tavern, built in wood and stone in the mid-19th century in Brañuelas, at the summit of the Puerto del Manzanal pass, on the border between the León regions of Bierzo, Cepeda, and Maragatería.The house has a wonderful 70-square-meter living room with a fireplace, where the old marble bar from the railway tavern that was once there has been preserved. We are close to the station but far from the tracks, on the other side of a large square. The house has a ground floor with a bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bedroom. The second floor has six bedrooms, four doubles and two singles, and two more bathrooms, equipped with a half-bathtub. The house has a fully equipped meeting room for 20 people, which is rented separately, but only to the group that has also rented the house. The house also has an enclosed interior courtyard of about 80 square meters for the exclusive use of our guests. Due to its altitude, low light pollution, and clear skies, it is ideal for astronomy enthusiasts. Villagatón-Brañuelas is a municipality that invites you to take a stroll.Its layout, size, and numerous charming and historic spots make walking the best way to discover it. Any starting point is good, but Brañuelas is perhaps the most suitable as it is the connecting point of the region.There is a wide variety of routes and excursions in our municipality, and here you will find information on the most recommended ones, the landscapes you can encounter, the history surrounding the area, and the technical specifications of the itinerary.
